The Carmel Farmers Market (CFM), a growers-only market, is an exciting and bountiful place to buy your fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, cheeses, eggs and plants. Only edible products, with the exception of annuals and perennials, may be sold at the Market. No craft items are sold.

When you shop at the CFM, you get the freshest, most delicious foods available from the growers themselves! And, with few exceptions, all products are grown and/or produced in Indiana.
There are also plenty of prepared foods such as jams, salsas, breakfast sandwiches, waffles, Danish pastries, cheeses and honey. Cooking demonstrations, children’s activities, and live music, all taking place adjacent to Carmel’s Palldium concert hall, make supporting local Indiana growers fun for the entire family!



Carmel Farmers Market Fact Sheet

• The Market was established in 1999 by a small group of community volunteers

• Volunteers continue to run the Market each Saturday

• The mission of the Carmel Farmers Market is to provide a site for Carmel citizens and their neighbors to purchase locally grown and produced foods and to serve as a business incubator for small producers of agricultural products.

• The Market is held on the Center Green, located at the intersection of SW 3rd and City Center Drive in the heart of Carmel, Indiana

• The Market is open every Saturday from the third Saturday of May through the last Saturday of October. Hours are 8 AM to 11:30 AM

• Over fifty vendors offer an assortment of homegrown fruits and vegetables, dried and fresh herbs and spices, flowers, baked goods, meats and poultry, honey, eggs, spreads and salsas. All prepared products sold at the Market must be produced in certified kitchens.

• During the 2010 Market season, over fifty thousand people visited the Market

• One of the largest farmers markets in Indiana, CFM averages over forty-five vendors each week

• Has been voted the best Farmers Market in Indy by Indianapolis Monthly magazine.
